Working with Robin
Working with me is different from what you may think of when you hear the word “coach.”
My clinical experience means that I bring a trauma-informed lens to everything that I do, and my background as a social worker means that I see everything that we go through within a “systems lens.” I put a strong emphasis on how we interact with capitalism, the patriarchy, and white supremacy. All of that will come up in our work.
My time spent in clinical settings also means that you can trust my skillset and experience. I’ve worked with a highly diverse group of clients over the years, including high-achieving professionals, and people struggling with severe and persistent mental illness. My particular areas of focus have been sexual assault and abuse in relationships, and my specialties as a clinician are EMDR and Internal Family Systems.
I know my stuff. Because of that, I’m able to identify the deep roots to what you bring to the table.
Coaching is different from therapy because we focus on a specific topic in a time bound setting. Coaching is highly collaborative and goal oriented. You’ll be expected to complete homework, and come prepared for your sessions. What’s more, by investing up front, you have “skin in the game,” which makes it much more likely that you’ll follow through on the work.
When you make a commitment to coaching, you set a powerful intention. The effects of that intention will reverberate throughout your life. Nothing makes me happier than empowering people and watching them grow. I’d love to hear from you for a consultation, where we can talk about what kind of coaching package would work best for your needs and desires.
