Supervision is a role in which I take great joy. As a supervisor, I draw from experiences in community mental health, public education, private practice, and nonprofit work all over the world. I take a trauma-informed approach and draw from specialties in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, among other modalities.
My goal as a supervisor is to help my supervisees to begin to trust their instincts and find their groove as therapists. I focus on trauma psychoeducation and the interpersonal process between the client and therapist. Therapy is a relationship, and
so is supervision. I take a gentle but straightforward approach to helping supervisees confront the inevitable personal issues that get triggered in our work, and guide them to greater confidence through their own healing process.
